For dry interior work our MR grade alternate ply is adequate when edges are sealed and polished, though Assam's humidity makes edge sealing non negotiable. For kitchens, bathroom vanities, wash areas, ground floor units and anything in Silchar or the Barak valley we recommend stepping up to our BWP grade plywood, which is bonded with phenol formaldehyde resin.
Full hardwood plywood uses hardwood in every layer, giving the highest density and screw holding at a higher price. Alternate ply balances the two by placing hardwood where the load sits and poplar in between, so the sheet stays lighter and more affordable while still holding fittings well for wardrobes, partitions, panelling and furniture carcass work.
