Most plywood sold in Jharkhand passes through two or three hands before it reaches the carpenter. Oscar Ply makes its own. Logs are peeled, veneers graded and seasoned, cores composed with zero gaps and panels hot pressed with undiluted phenol formaldehyde resin at our Raebareli plant, then vacuum pressure treated against termites and borers. Nothing is bought in and rebranded, which is why we can tell you exactly what is inside a sheet.

BWP bonded panels hold their glue line through the Ranchi and Hazaribagh plateau monsoon, which is where cheap commercial plywood starts to delaminate at the edges.
Controlled moisture content keeps panels dimensionally stable through the dry Palamu and Daltonganj summer, so shutters stay square and joints do not open up.

A clean edge shows even veneer layers with no hollow gaps. Gaps in the core are the single clearest sign of a cheap sheet, and no amount of laminate hides them later.
Full hardwood core plywood is noticeably heavier than a filler core sheet of the same size. Lift one corner; weight is density, and density is what holds a screw.
Grade and brand should be printed on the sheet itself, not just the invoice. Ask which standard the grade is tested against and whether figures can be produced.
Hold it at eye level and look down the length. A calibrated, wide belt sanded panel is flat and even in thickness, which saves the carpenter hours on laminate pressing.
Vacuum pressure treatment carries preservative right through the veneer. Surface brushed treatment washes off at the first site cut and leaves the core exposed.
Buying direct removes the trading margin, which shows up clearly on bulk quantities, and gives you one point of accountability if anything is wrong.

Oscar Ply is a manufacturer, not a trading brand. All plywood, block boards and flush doors are produced at our own plant at Kashimpur Baghel, Sultaanpur Road, Dighiya, Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh and dispatched directly to dealers and project sites across Jharkhand.
BWP grade. Kitchen carcasses and sink units take daily water exposure, and BWP is bonded with undiluted phenol formaldehyde resin and tested for no delamination after a 72 hour boiling cycle. MR grade is fine for bedroom and living room furniture but will not last under a sink. For township quarters that change hands often, the zero gap core matters as much as the grade, because hinges get re-screwed again and again.
MR is moisture resistant, meant for dry interior use. BWR is boiling water resistant and handles occasional splashing. BWP is boiling waterproof, the grade for kitchens, bathrooms and humid coastal interiors. The difference is in the resin and how it is bonded, not in how the sheet looks.
Standard thicknesses are 4mm, 6mm, 9mm, 12mm, 16mm, 19mm and 25mm in 8x4, 8x3, 7x4, 7x3 and 6x4 ft sheets. Other sizes can be scheduled for bulk project quantities before production is planned.
